A fun thought exercise to try every once in a while is to ask "if someone had never before heard of rock music, what song would you use to introduce it to them?"
I can't claim to be a big Motorhead aficionado, but you don't have to be to recognize that Lemmy Kilmister was rock personified. Motorhead's slogan, "Everything louder than everything else" captures exactly what a rock song should make you feel. I don't normally gravitate towards heavier stuff, but I'm fan of rock generally, and part of that means raging, balls to wall, cranking the radio so loud they can hear you a mile off ROCK, man. When it's done properly, you can't help but become a head banger. Lemmy wasn't the greatest singer, but that wasn't the point. No one ever reviewed a Motorhead album by complaining about the yelling.
When making arguments for which song is "the" rock song, you could do a lot worse than "Ace of Spades". So go on, have a listen and a drink in Lemmy's memory.
