Song of the Week: "Xanadu" - Rush

The rock and roll hall of fame is a bullshit organization that was based on the con-job of a co-founder of Rolling Stone, but every year people pay attention to the nominations and the ceremony.  Bands are eligible for entry intro the HoF 25 years after the release of their debut album, which would have made Rush eligible in 1999.

It took until 2013 for the band to get inducted, which was perceived as a slight by many fans.  The band basically stated that they didn't really care about the Hall of Fame.

Recently, Rush announced a new tour, and in the announcement was this gem: "To the elation of their fans, Rush were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013." I find the wording on that hilarious.  "Well, we don't really care about that stupid place, but I guess it matters to our fans. Whatever."
